Research Building 2270 is a one-level building designed for the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center campus (honored as the Outstanding Research Park in 2010). Housing 20,000 square feet of laboratory space, TKA worked with the VTCRC to design spaces that are flexible to meet the ever changing research demands. The use of brick, aluminum, and glass compliments and reflects the palette of the VTCRC campus while being rooted to Virginia Tech with the use of iconic Hokie Stone at the entry. Geo-thermal heat pumps serve the building.
